About a decade ago, Kam was working out in the
basement Gym at Thinking this might be more exciting than lifting
weights Kam started class and found that he loved the workout! “We all work hard – its great as a cardio
and flexibility workout and it’s also good to think you are learning
something very practical”. Like others, Kamran started for the sport – but
kept going because of the friendships he formed at ATKDA. “There are such good people here, the
spirit of the class is just wonderful - it feels like you are hanging out
with friends”. Kamran got interested in teaching fairly early on
and approached Frank to help with classes as a Yellow Belt! Over the years he honed his skill and it
was just after he became a second Dan that there was an opportunity for him
to set up a class at work. Kamran
works for a major semiconductor company and found that setting up class and
teaching helped build his personal abilities in dealing with people and
public speaking. His advice to junior members is to not think too
much about belts. “It’s important to
enjoy the ride and think about what you are getting out of every class”. Kam is known for his patience and is one
of the great reasons for being a part of ATKDA. |
